Who is Ellen Leemans?
I graduated in 2005 with an MA in English and Italian Translation (at Higher Institute for Translators and Interpreters, Antwerp). Subsequently, I completed a Master of American Studies and a Postgraduate of Didactics in Dutch as a Foreign Language. Both at the University of Antwerp.
Since 2006, I have been translating and teaching. I teach as a freelancer and at Karel de Grote University College in Antwerp, where I also work as a study coach.
On top of that, I have been studying Spanish for a few years, which has taken me back to my school days. Not only is it fun and enriching to learn a new language. It also inspires me to come up with new, interesting ideas for my own lessons.
It also helps me to give inspiring Dutch language courses, to translate general and medical texts from English into Dutch and to revise texts.
